Honda’s new iPhone app brings premium navigation to 2014 Honda Civics.
For new Honda Civic owners, real-time navigation just got easier than ever with the help of a smartphone app that connects their car with their communication device.
Using HondaLink Navigation, Honda’s new iPhone app, owners of new 2014 Civic models can enjoy the experience of real-time, in-dash navigation using their phone’s existing data network. In addition to its many other functions, the app makes up-to-the-minute map and traffic data available on the Civic’s built-in touchscreen display, allowing for safer, quicker, more intuitive navigation—even from the driver’s seat.
HondaLink Navigation boasts many of the same features as after-market in-dash navigation systems—including 3D route view, turn-by-turn directions, traffic reports, and a variety of location search options—for a fraction of the price. Plus, thanks to its use of cloud-based map data, users can count on complimentary annual map updates to keep their navigation system automatically up-to-date.
How to get HondaLink Navigation
HondaLink Navigation can be purchased in the app store for $59.99. It is compatible with the iPhone 5, 5C and 5S. In order to view the navigation maps on the vehicle display panel, users must also download the HondaLink Launcher and HondaLink Connect apps (both free) and purchase the iOS Cable Kit ($99.00). iPhone connectivity is only available for 2014 Honda Civic EX or EX-L models.
